Within the past 24 hours, Russian military held 7 humanitarian events in Syria. All of them took place in the province of Aleppo. Help was received by over 8000 people, as told by the Center for Reconciliation. About 25 tons of cargo was sent to the residents of Aleppo, refugee camps, and Manbij. The cargo is food and drinking water. Syrian civilians also get help from international organizations. They provide people with temporary living accommodations, they also get medical, psychological and legal assistance.

The infrastructure recovery has begun. Russian military assisted in the operation of leading civilians out of Al-Waer, a Homs suburb. This suburb is taken over by the militants. Our correspondent in Syria Aleksei Baranov is reporting from Syria on this civil process.

Meeting location — by Al-Waer. It's 5 am. Women, children, and seniors are leaving the town occupied by militants. This is a real rescue mission for these people. They got their necessities, like dishes, with them. Along with the Russian military, they get help from international humanitarian organizations.

The decision following lengthy negotiations between the elders and the officers of the Russian Reconciliation Center in the Syrian Arab Republic was uneasy. To save the lives of civilians staying in Al-Waer, according to this agreement, the retreating militants were allowed to keep one gun with a full magazine per person, no more. Military police of the Russian Ministry of Defense controls the entire process. There are certain concerns. I think about 50% will continue to participate in military action as militants. But the other half will probably sell their guns and hopefully start new lives. After all, along with the militants come their families.

The humanitarian route created by the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Syrian regular army is operational. Most of the militants are new-comers. They invaded the village, occupied others' homes, they brought their families. With our combined effort, this Homs suburb will be free. For them it's important that the retreat itself is safe. It's important that the retreat route is safe. All that is taken care of. The agreement, made to save the civilians, is in fully complied with. Now these people won't use locals as human shields.

Up to this moment, over 1500 people have fled from Al-Waer. Almost half of them are militants. Militants used to fire at tourist buses like these ones and then burned them down, so they could later use them to build defense walls. Now they use spared vehicles to save their lives and the lives of their families. This process can also be referred to as peaceful, because thousands and thousands of regular people's lives will be saved.
