Trump's Armada was a Bluff

According to no one but the President of the United States Donald Trump himself, he sent this "armada" as a warning to the DPRK.

It's time for one correction and clarification on our part. And a quite significant one. Last Saturday, we spent a lot of time talking about North Korea. Back then, it celebrated the Day of the Sun, the 105th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the DPRK, Kim Il-sung. Everyone expected that on that day, his grandson, Kim Jong-un, would conduct another nuclear test.

And we also said that we needed to monitor the US Navy strike group, led by the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson. According to no one but the President of the United States Donald Trump himself, he sent this "armada" as a warning to the DPRK. Many people fell for this right away, including us. Because early this week, it became clear that Donald Trump gave everyone the go-around.

Another London newspaper, The Telegraph, published an article stating that the armada was actually moving in a completely different direction. Based on this article, we made a map, let's see. On the Day of the Sun, the armada was here, near Indonesia, between the islands of Java and Sumatra. Yes, right. North Korea is here. From here to here, it’s 5 hours by plane. The aircraft fighters wouldn’t be able to fly here, and God knows how much it would have taken the ship to sail there. Now it turns out that it was going to perform maneuvers in Australia.

And then, it was in the Western Pacific, obviously, somewhere around here. North Korea was still very far away. That is, what Donald Trump said about this aircraft carrier group was a bluff. Why did Trump bluff? Probably, in order to see how North Korea would react. And what did it do? It’s a stubborn country. It didn't conduct nuclear tests, but missile tests. It doesn’t matter whether they were successful. But now I will correct myself. A minute ago, I said that "Donald Trump gave everyone the go-around". It turns out that it doesn't apply to all.

Now, with hindsight, it’s perfectly clear that the Russian military wasn’t tricked by Trump's statements. Indeed, try to remember. It seemed to be such a big news, but the Russian Defense Ministry didn’t comment on the messages about the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson, because it clearly knew the truth and, probably, was just watching how the North Koreans and Americans would behave. However, this "probably" just was invented by us. Here is this week's statement by the new commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Korolev.

Today, we will have a big interview with him. But now we will show a short video. Do you somehow watch the Americans? I would like to emphasize that the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and the Navy have everything necessary to control and assess the situation in any area of the world's oceans.
