Putin to Patriarch On His Birthday: Don’t Work Too Hard

President Vladimir Putin has met with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

President Vladimir Putin has met with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. The head of state congratulated the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church on his birthday. The President presented the Patriarch, who turned 71, with a painting "Assumption Cathedral of the Kremlin". Patriarch Kirill, in his turn, thanked the president for supporting the cooperation between the State and the Church.

Putin: Thank you for all that you do. I cordially congratulate you on your birthday. Thank you for your service. I wish you all the best, to stay healthy and work less.

 

Patriarch: Thank you, Vladimir Vladimirovich. And I especially thank you for the cooperation that takes place in Russia between the State and the Church.
