Wannabe Georgian Strongman Saakashvili Announces Plans to Implement People’s Impeachment of Poroshenko

"There will be a change of power in Ukraine on the 3rd of December", - said Mikhail Saakashvili, the ex-governor of Odessa Region promising to organize a people's impeachment.

"There will be a change of power in Ukraine on the 3rd of December", — said Mikhail Saakashvili, the ex-governor of Odessa Region promising to organize a people's impeachment. He announced it at a rally in front of the Verkhovna Rada in the center of Kiev.

Olga Turchaninova will give us her insight into the events.

Host: Good evening, Olga. What's the current situation?

Olga: Good evening! Indeed, Mikhail Saakashvili finally shared what chair he is planning to take in Ukraine. And, of course, he's reaching out for the top seat. The ex-governor of Odessa Region and the Ukrainian President has recently promised to talk about his political plans. He did it, but before that, he was going on and on about his new project called "The 300 Spartans" — some of whom are going to become the new ministers. For that purpose, they are currently being educated at Maidan where lectures are being held explaining the basics of economics and politics. And apparently, Mikhail Saakashvili is going to lead the group of Maidan "graduates". I suggest we listen to his announcement.

Mikhail Saakashvili, former governor of Odessa Region: "Ukraine desperately needs new power and a new government. We must create a new government together and I'm ready to actively participate. There are lots of gifted, hard-working patriotic Ukrainians. I'm ready to lead the process. If necessary, I'm ready to lead the government".

Saakashvili's announcement was supported by the protestors.

The opinion of Kiev’s officials currently remains unclear. They tend not to comment on what's been happening at Maidan for the last month and a half.

Judging by his speech, Saakashvili is ready to go all the way even though he might not be allowed to remain within the territory of Ukraine. He might get deported. Right now he's trying to appeal the decision in court.

And more news — A people's impeachment has been announced. It's going to take place on the 3rd of December.

The activists urged the people to support Saakashvili and take to the streets. And today's rally was held in an interactive format — a rehearsal of some sort. A screen was installed on the stage. It broadcasted comments from residents of other Ukrainian cities. There were no incidents this evening and no provocations, despite some people bringing tires to the square. They were reluctant to start burning them, in contrast to what was happening at night.

Thank you, Olga. Olga Turchaninova on the events in the center of Kiev and the ambitious plans of Mikhail Saakashvili.
