The US state authorities have officially banned the use of Kaspersky Lab products. President Donald Trump signed the defense budget, which has the relevant provision. Due to bureaucratic delays, the document was signed late. It states that the ban on the Kaspersky Lab products comes into effect on October 1. Only Congress can revoke this restriction.

 

Previously, US lawmakers had accused the Russian software manufacturer of cyber espionage. Kaspersky Lab denies all the charges. The company decided to close the office in Washington but it is still planning to open new offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, and in Toronto, Canada.
