UK Journalists Were Never That Good, But is Their Negligence This Time Because of MI5 Salisbury Interference?

All of the British media was under strict control of the authorities and acted on their instructions concerning the Skripal case.

All of the British media was under strict control of the authorities and acted on their instructions concerning the Skripal case. This was stated by the Russian embassy in London. Since the alleged poisoning, the usually meticulous British journalists haven't even tried to interview Yulia Skripal, or visit the hospital in Salisbury to find out where the victims are. And why?

Alexander Khabarov answers from London.

The story of the poisoning in Salisbury turns into a story of disappearance. For almost two months now, no one has seen the Skripal family. The father allegedly still lies in the city hospital. Nobody knows where the daughter is. Scotland Yard, instead of Julia Skripal herself, provided a letter in impeccable English which she allegedly wrote.

Alexander Yakovenko, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UK: "Two days ago the British press was instructed not to publish anything about the poisoning in Salisbury. That is, complete silence. The situation is very complicated, but the reputation of Britain as a country that doesn't fulfill its international obligations is at stake. In order to silence this topic, in order to remove tension from the government because it doesn't fulfill its international obligation, they decided to withdraw from the coverage of this issue in the press".

Now the main theme in Salisbury instead of the results of the investigation is cleaning the city from a nerve agent. The British authorities have sheltered nine places the Skripals could have visited the day of poisoning but first, they frightened the local residents by telling them that the poison could be preserved somewhere in a concentrated and very dangerous form. Now they've begun to calm people down.

Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom: "Salisbury is safe for residents and visitors of the city. There's no need to take additional precautions".

This isn't the first time the British authorities have contradicted themselves in this scandalous case. They first brought charges and only afterward began to collect evidence. But they have nothing to show. It is possible that the next step will be a complete classification of the materials of this case. It's no accident that in the British press there were reports that Sergei and Julia Skripal are going to be secretly taken to the USA.
