Commemoration day to honor the memory of those who suffered in Odessa was held in Moscow near the Kremlin in the Alley of Cities of Military glory and on an embankment of the Moscow River. Participants launched black balloons into the sky with the inscriptions "We remember Odessa". Another initiative took place near the Embassy of Ukraine. People brought portraits of those who were burnt in the House of Trade Unions and laid flowers. Several events were held on the Commemoration Day in 13 countries including the USA, Great Britain, Austria, and Sweden.

Lyudmila Klyzhenko will tell us what is being said about the tragedy abroad.

Balloons, photos and the terrible number "48" in front of the word "killed". In the heart of the European Union — Brussels — dozens of people came to the square next to the building of the European Parliament. They're wearing badges with the inscription "Remember Odessa, stop fascism". Mourning balloons flew in the sky over Berlin. Commemoration Day to honor the memory of those who killed in Odessa was held on the Paris Square. On a large black canvas, there were photos of the dead. The demonstrators are outraged because since that terrible day have passed four years, and the perpetrators haven't been punished yet.

A participant: "Basically, our picket is a call for a fair investigation and appeal to punish the perpetrators of the tragedy that occurred in Odessa".

In Ireland, people talked about the need for a fair international investigation too. The memory of those who died on May 2, 2014, in the House of Trade Unions was honored in Dublin for the fourth time. Several dozen people gathered in the square in the center of the capital of Denmark. A church service was held in memory of the victims of the tragedy in Greece. The temple of the Holy Trinity in Athens is the main parish for the Russian-speaking population of the country. They say that as many people as possible need to learn about what happened in the south of Ukraine.

A participant: "The fact is that the Western audience knows very little about this. Why? Because the Western mass media hardly covered it".

The Ukrainian authorities are still trying to hush up the topic. Several foreign journalists who wanted to report on the tragedy weren't allowed to come to Odessa.
