Trump Puts Poland on Notice: No Sanctions For Nord Stream 2 Participants! No US Interference

The United States won't impose sanctions on the companies that are participating in the Nord Stream 2 project. This was stated by the US President Trump during his meeting with the President of Poland. Andrzej Duda was not happy to hear that. His hopes were that the US would try to interfere with the pipeline's construction.

Trump admitted that even though he doesn't think Germany needs this project, it's not enough of a reason to impose sanctions on the companies building the pipeline.

President Trump: "We're not going to do that, we only think that, unfortunately for the people of Germany, every year, the FRG pays billions and billions of dollars in energy costs to Russia".
