Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is not ready to give the dates of the full-length talks between the leaders of Russia and the USA. He said this on the TV program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on the Rossiya channel. At the same time, Lavrov noted that the Americans have expressed their intention to resume the dialogue.
During Vladimir Solovyov's program, the minister also commented on the actions by the United States in Syria.
Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister: "The fact that they do not have a special alternative strategy, and, by and large, tactics, is becoming more and more obvious. It's also becoming obvious that unacceptable things are happening on the eastern bank of the Euphrates, the US is attempting to form quasi-state structures there, they are investing hundreds of millions of dollars to equip these areas, so that people can resume a normal peaceful life, while refusing to restore infrastructure in the territories controlled by the Syrian government. What is happening on the eastern bank of the Euphrates clearly violates what has been declared by everyone and confirmed in the UN Security Council resolution: adherence to the territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic. Part of their actions on the eastern bank of the Euphrates and in other parts of Syria is playing the "Kurdish card". This is a very dangerous game, considering the urgency of the Kurdish issue in a number of countries in the region, not only in Syria, but also in Iraq, Iran and, of course, in Turkey. This was said on the last day of the G20 session at a meeting between President Putin and President Erdogan. This meeting also confirmed the agreement on Idlib".
