Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Venezuela banned the leader of the opposition, Juan Guaido, from leaving the country and froze his bank accounts. Earlier, a preliminary investigation was launched in relation to Guaido. It's connected to the acts of violence that have been occurring in the country lately. In response to this, the USA threatened serious consequences to anyone that harms him.

In addition, Guaido's representatives were reported to have visited the USA yesterday upon invitation by the US Vice President, Mike Pence. The negotiations lasted around an hour. The White House's press release says that Washington is seeking to restore democracy in Venezuela. To clarify, those are not the first negotiations between the Vice President and the oppositionists. Earlier, Trump's National Security Advisor, John Bolton, said that Pence communicated with Guaido himself the night before he declared himself to be the temporary head of the country.

Meanwhile, the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, condemns Washington's actions. He declared this on Twitter. The leader of Bolivia believes that the State Department is trying to illegally appropriate Venezuelan money to pass it on to those who are trying to arrange a coup d'etat. Morales emphasizes that the commercial blockade of Venezuela threatens the security of the entire world.
