This is the footage of the operation to detain the suspects. The sailors sailing under the flag of Japan didn't respond to the Russian law enforcement officers' demand to switch off the engine at once. Tons of illegal catch turned out to be in the hold.

- They keep doing it.

- Closer, closer.

- Throw, throw. Okay, do it.

Albina Proskurenko, Spokesperson for the Border Service of the FSB in Primorsky Krai: "FSB Border Service in Primorsky Krai detained a fishing ship Nishino Maru No. 68 in the Sea of Japan. It was sailing under the flag of Japan, home port Izumo. It was illegally fishing in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation".

Special equipment — so-called crab traps — was found on the ship. Using them, the poachers managed to catch almost 60,000 Kamchatka crabs. Smuggling of this expensive delicacy is known to be controlled by criminal gangs that Russian law enforcement is now actively fighting.
