The humanitarian crisis in Venezuela has been made up by the USA in order to conceal its military intervention in the country. This was stated by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. He addressed a rally to collect signatures against the interference by Washington in the affairs of the Bolivarian Republic.
The opposition previously claimed that Maduro had blocked a possible route of humanitarian aid supplies from Colombia, which could be provided by the military. The president in his turn promised to thwart a coup and prevent any foreign soldiers from entering Venezuela. Maduro considers peace negotiations to be the only feasible scenario. However, Washington's puppet Juan Guaidó doesn't agree to them, meaning that there's something for him to fear and conceal, believes the legitimate president of Venezuela.
Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela: "I've signed this document to protect the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people. The humanitarian crisis is nothing but a cover for the Trump administration's military plans. There's only a crisis in Venezuela because the US has imposed sanctions and a financial embargo".
Meanwhile, the capital of Uruguay hosted a meeting of the International Contact Group, where both European and Latin American countries were represented. Its declared goal is to seek a solution to the crisis. The group agreed that the crisis must be solved by peaceful means, while any military option is impossible. However, the outcome declaration has not yet enjoyed unanimous support.
The Bolivian delegation strongly disagrees with the EU's vision, said the Bolivian Foreign Minister.
Diego Rodrigues, Foreign Minister of Bolivia: "Bolivia doesn't back this declaration, as we can't sign a document which implies interference in elections. This affair belongs to the Venezuelan people, this is a domestic issue, meaning that they are to analyze the reasons and come up with their own path".
By the way, Venezuela's Foreign Ministry has announced numerous hacking attacks at the country's diplomatic missions to various states. Anonymous hackers posted a message to back Juan Guaidó. The diplomats decided to halt the online news feed until the safety of the websites is restored.
