Seething and Frothing at the Mouth! Ukrainian Delegates Accuse Putin of Being Worse Than Hitler!

- Hello, Evgeny and dear experts! We've received a decent welcome indeed. I mean that there's the so-called anti-occupation exhibition right next to the PACE building. Since you mentioned the deputy, who is probably one of the most active here, Alexey Goncharenko, of course, this is practically our traditional section. Alexey Goncharenko immediately appears on the air of Rossiya TV. Of course, Alexey Goncharenko will defend Ukraine's interests today. To facilitate Alexey's work, let me say that there are delegations that support Alexey, the official Ukrainian delegation, but Alexey, you already know him, is a well-known activist in this respect and a fan of various tools, which he brings here, to PACE. I see that you're sad today. This time, Alexey isn't wearing rubber gloves. Wait, Alexey brought these booklets. They're entitled "Beware of Russian Propagandists." The floor is given to Alexey Goncharenko. As we see, you'll leave PACE today because the majority of the delegations are going to ask Russia to come back.

Alexey Goncharenko, member of the Ukrainian PACE delegation: It seems so. I'm sure that nobody will ask you for anything. And I've come to say one thing: release the Ukrainian military sailors and political prisoners. They're Vasily Soroka, his name is on my bracelet, Andrey Eider, Denis Gritsenko, Roman Mokryak. They're just young guys, whom Putin simply tortures. Russian people, I understand that the Germans liked Hitler once upon a time, and now they're ashamed to say his name. The same will happen to you when you hear Putin's name. Unfortunately, the sooner you realize that, the better.

- Why are you not wearing rubber gloves today? Why are you not so aggressive today? Am I right that you realized that the Ukrainian sailors, please, don't speak at the same time as me, let's take turns, we're civilized people. So, the Ukrainian sailors should first be tried. And then, we should discuss an exchange with the representative from Kiev. As for the trial, I'll tell you.

- Let me answer or leave.

- Please, don't threaten me, you may leave.

- I tell you that the tribunal has already found that the Ukrainian Navy sailors, according to the decision of the international tribunal, must be immediately released. June 25th is the deadline. Otherwise, this will be a direct violation by Russia of the Convention on the Law of the Sea, which is obligatory for every country, even for a scumbag leader such as your Vladimir Putin.

- Have you ever been told that you behave inappropriately? In this connection, of course, such arrogant and absolutely aggressive statements…

- They've become calmer. That's weird.

- It's important that it's beyond the jurisdiction of the court that condemned Russia. You're absolutely right that this time, the Ukrainian delegation is way more modest. We met with Irina Gerashchenko, she didn't sing the anthem. Borislav Bereza didn't sing the anthem. Alexey Goncharenko isn't wearing rubber gloves today. He isn't talking about chemical protective clothing anymore. Nevertheless, they're giving out these booklets to everyone entering the territory of PACE. We should understand that this must violate the rules of PACE because these aren't PACE official booklets. They're what Alexey and the representatives of the Ukrainian delegation printed somewhere in Kiev and are having published it in a great amount; they're giving it out here. As for the names, I'm among those whom they call the main Russian propagandists. But the funniest thing is why people should beware Russia. I'll quote it because Russia and I, in particular, "have killed over 10,000 Ukrainians. I, in particular, "started the war in the southeast, annexed Crimea, shot down the Malaysian Boeing. Then it talks about Yulia and Sergei Skripal. Then they talk about the Syrian war. Thus, Alexey Goncharenko and all those delegates who're giving out those booklets en masse say: before you vote, before you press that very button, think again and let's take a look at the exhibition. Across the road, there's an exhibition, which they purposefully brought. Now, it's not only Ukrainian but Georgian as well. Let's have a look.

The key vote is scheduled for 4 p.m. today. The majority of the delegations have already stated that they'll invite Russia to return to PACE. The Ukrainian delegates begin to act.

- Excuse me, there's a problem with... I'm listening. I'm a Ukrainian MP, and she's from a Russian news channel.

- Do you have any strategy? We saw a photo where your colleague Bereza says that they worked on their tactics and strategy until late at night.

- I don't want to talk to her. I can't help you with this. We're not violating any laws. Excuse me, I left my badge.

- Georgia joined them. Look at these posters. The so-called anti-occupation exhibition is being held next to the PACE building.

Borislav Bereza, member of the Ukrainian PACE delegation: “Why do Germany and France work so hard on this and try to make Russia return? It's because cooperation with Russia is toxic now. And we see it in the case of Nord Stream 2. Now, we can see that they're trying to whitewash their name through PACE and show that even PACE has the Russians' back. Therefore, what we're doing now is nothing else but the continuation of this story.”

- Russia is compared with a bear here. Putin is called a bloody aggressor. Look at how many posters there are. Putin is compared to Stalin. They ask everyone who'll have to vote to think again before pressing the button and asking Russia to come back.

Georgy Logvinsky, member of the Ukrainian PACE delegation: "I promise you that in no way, a return will be easy for the Russians. We have a detailed plan. The Russians have tried to lift the sanctions after all agreements repeatedly. And it's our delegation that destroyed those agreements".

- What is the strategy of the Ukrainian delegation with respect to Russia now?

Oleg Lyashko, leader of the Radical Party in the Verkhovnaya Rada: I think that it's as it used to be — to continue to fight and never give up. We don't see any grounds for the Ukrainian delegation to return to PACE.

- So you'll act like this? Will you leave PACE if they take Russia back?

- If they get the Russian delegation back into PACE, I think that the Ukrainian delegation will have to leave PACE. We aren't in opposition to PACE, we're in opposition to the cases when principles are exchanged for money. Taking the Russian delegation back isn't what Macron is talking about. For Russians to have the right to apply to the ECHR, Russia doesn't fulfill ECHR decisions. The reason for getting Russia back is banal — money. Instead of curtailing Russia and its officials' ambitions, the Council of Europe doesn't want to pay for Russians and therefore they betray their principles for money. We'll do everything to prevent them from getting Russia back into PACE.

- You'll hurt yourself to annoy them and leave PACE?

- Not them but the man in the Kremlin.

- Oh, my God. Mr. Lyashko still switched to Russian. They're unexpectedly calm and frustrated. Gordey, you look so sad. What happened? What made you so sad? They haven't gotten Russia back into PACE, and you're already sad. What's up? Probably, they won't.

Gordey Belov, public figure (Ukraine):

- You know, Chekhov said, it isn't that I couldn't answer, I can't understand the question. The question of Russia's return to PACE is weird and unacceptable. If Europe thinks that they'll get money today and take them back tomorrow, you're buying this seat. And this issue is considered in PACE. You're buying a ticket with money.

- Who told you that — Lyashko or anybody else in Europe?

- It is I that tells you that, Evgeny.

- Is it you, Gordey Belov, a candidate for a deputy of the Rada, who'll make Ukraine great again?

- After you shot down the Malaysian Boeing, there's clear evidence of it.

- Wait, don't shout, please. Where's the evidence, tell me.

- How can we discuss any coming back to PACE?

- Give back the microphone, it's toxic for you.

- There's no place for you at that round table.

- Why do you think so? Gordey, have you overdosed on French coffee?

- Look, at least be consistent. Half a year ago, you said that you don't need to return to PACE. Now, you struggle for this, buying it with money.

- I've never imagined that I'd have to fight with Gordey Belov. Just for our viewers to understand, Gordey really stands for election to the Verkhovnaya Rada. And he should have been a bit more aggressive. And what about the first point in the great Gordey Belov's program? He even sweated with anger. It's about getting a nuclear bomb back to drop it; Gordey doesn't say where.

We've received breaking news. PACE voted against the emergency discussion of non-payments to Russia in PACE, because they're going to consider the issue on its merits. And this means that every delegation should have equal rights. Otherwise, what is this PACE good for if some, such as Gordey Alexandrovich Belov, vote and constantly crank out anti-Russian resolutions, and others don't have the right to vote? So, they'll begin to modify that amendment and consider it again, note that, on its merits. Nevertheless, you were absolutely right that the Ukrainian delegation became sad. And it happened despite the fact that Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden, Poland, and Great Britain are going to support the Ukrainian delegation today. All the rest are against it. They'll ask Russia to return.

Sergey Markov, director of the Institute of Political Studies: These are the consequences for Russia's strict and principal position. We didn't put up with that they limit our rights. We strongly insist that our rights should be returned to us in full. Moreover, we defend not only our rights. We insist on an amendment to the charter and rules that would make it impossible to deprive any delegation of its right to vote ever again. It's because PACE is designed to…

- Why do we need it?

- I'll explain why we need PACE. Deputies from different countries gather there. And that's a platform for us to share and defend our position. And they could go there, keeping our ideas in mind. It's a platform…

- We don't want to take part in those discussions and at those platforms where at least some decisions are made.

- PACE adopts very few decisions. But the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe makes decisions. Ministries are represented there, and it's important and interesting for us to be there. And it isn't only about money. It's about our strict and firm position.

- You should call a spade a spade.

- We shouldn't think that Europeans accept us because of our money. They have enough money. It isn't only about money.

- Gordey, fasten your hands behind your back, please, so that you don't let them loose.

- They'll enter their final stage of development that will lead them into the grave. It'll be wound up because nobody will need it. Everyone from the staff of the Council of Europe, whom I talked to, knows it well. That's why they'll do everything to take Russia back now. But at the same time, we won't compromise. We'll firmly and decisively defend our position. I think that now they'll vote to take Russia back.

- We don't know yet, the majority is for Russia's return so far.

- I'm sure that they'll vote for returning rights to the Russian delegation. But there's a risk that they can take some tiny right away from us, such as the right to chair delegations to monitor elections.
