The state will improve the social guarantees for law enforcement employees. Vladimir Putin promised this today at his meeting with military academy graduates. It took three halls of the Kremlin to fit all of the honor graduates; the St. Andrew, St. Alexander and St. George halls.

Dmitry Kaistro with the details.

Graduates of the Russian military academies have been invited to a reception in the Kremlin. They're the best of the best, who worked hard to achieve success. They graduated with honors, with either a red diploma or a gold medal. 800 graduates from 59 academies of the Defense Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the FSB, and Rosgvardia. All of these officers will soon join the ranks of the Russian Army, law enforcement bodies, or special services.

Vladimir Putin: "I am confident that you comprehend and feel the entire significance of this stage, that you will be able to fully apply your knowledge during military service. As General Brusilov used to say, those who calm down and sit idle after graduating from any academy will quickly fall behind their times and their work. Therefore, my wish is that you continue to progress and that you justify the trust of your superiors and commanders, and the entire Russian nation".

President and Supreme Commander in Chief Vladimir Putin noted that the country places its hopes in people like them.

Vladimir Putin: "This is primarily about carrying out the large-scale program to re-equip the Army and Navy with the latest weaponry. The Kinzhal hypersonic missile system, the Peresvet laser system, the Sarmat heavy ICBM, the Poseidon underwater drone, our unlimited-range cruise missile with the Burevestnik nuclear propulsion system, and other advanced hardware will be supplied to the troops over the next few years. Talent, boldness and courage, relentless work by hundreds of workers, engineers, and designers are embodied in these weapons, and they must be in reliable and skilled hands. Your duty is to learn to use these weapons properly".

Graduate of the St. Petersburg Military Institute of Physical Culture Lieutenant Eugeny Pestrikov prepared so thoroughly for the Kremlin reception in Moscow that he meticulously inspected his parade uniform dozens of times.

Eugeny Pestrikov, Lieutenant: I've never attended an event like that.

- How do you feel about it all?

- I'm excited but a little anxious. Few people get the chance to be here. It's a great honor.

The Grand Kremlin Palace astounded the young lieutenant with its splendor. He was even more astounded by the shining and graceful uniforms of his fellow officers. They came here from all over Russia. Soon, they'll travel back to serve. The lieutenant will travel to Krasnodar to teach at the military academy.

And this graduate of the Mozhaisky Aerospace Academy, Alexey Babichenko, Pestrikov met him at the reception, will travel to the other side of Russia, to the Far East.

Alexey Babichenko, graduate: "My dad serves in the army, both of my grandfathers went through the Great Patriotic War. I've always known that I'd be a serviceman".

This year, the Russian military academies had 13,000 graduates.

Sergey Shoigu, Minister of Defense: "In a month, you'll have to join the action. I'm sure that you'll do your best to perform the objectives set by the Supreme Commander in Chief for the Armed Forces".

They have their student years behind them and their big dream ahead, which was the reason they put on the uniform.

Vladimir Putin: "I propose a toast to our officers, to the continuation of our Fatherland's glorious military traditions, and to great Russia!"
