Hollywood is a Swamp of Sexual Predators and Slighted Women

Right now there's a debatable opinion that there's no sex in America as well. The liberties of the sexual revolution are a thing of the past.

A Soviet lady saying: "There's no sex in the USSR" caused a storm of emotions and is still being ridiculed. She said it during a video conference with the US in the time of the late USSR.

"We don't have sex here and are strictly against it".

Right now there's a debatable opinion that there's no sex in America as well. The liberties of the sexual revolution are a thing of the past. But the obnoxious sex is everywhere. Clearly, the most prominent place is Hollywood. And here we have the Oscar-winning producer, Harvey Weinstein, crushed by the "No Sex" movement.

By the way, a fresh accusation against Weinstein was cast by the actress, Paz de la Huerta, claiming, she invited Harvey over twice and he raped her both times. How could he?! Especially for the second time.

Although Harvey Weinstein is not the only one — there are others. How could they commit such acts of indecency when there's no sex? Certainly, I exaggerate here a bit, but the topic requires pumping. Because right now in America actresses and actors accuse the big shots of Hollywood.

And now they claim that Oscar-winning Dustin Hoffman as far back as in 1985, 32 years ago, flirted with the production assistant, Anna Graham Hunter. Nothing happened then. Since then Hunter became a prominent writer. And now she accuses Dustin Hoffman of sexually harassing her on the movie set asking to give him a foot massage. She did, and he dared to flirt with her. The writer is outraged: "He grabbed my ass, talked about sex, and made dirty jokes".

It's hard to tell what really happened. But on the eve of her 50th birthday, this hobby-masseuse decided to shock the world with horrible allegations.

Another trampled prominent figure: the Oscar-winning actor, Kevin Spacey. American Beauty, House of Cards. He too happens to have been harassing people in the past and still hasn't settled down. No less than 10 members of the House of Cards film crew have pointed at Kevin Spacey. As a result, the production of the famous series is suspended, and Spacey's character won't be present in the future script. The actor is already being stripped of his well-deserved prizes. The scandal is loud indeed.

From bad to worse — 40 American women accused the director, James Toback, of sexual harassment. They claim he met young actresses on the street flirted with them, or "harassed", as they call it. He promised them a bright career in the movies. Not everyone's career worked out. But the trauma still remains.

The freshest story: director, Brett Ratner, according to numerous actresses and models harassed them on movie sets, at parties, and on airplanes. It's almost as if there is no sex, like there's no masculine and feminine, no homosexual anymore, there's nothing at all. No human nature and no romantic adventures. Is that it? Anything, if needed, can now be called a filthy harassment.

Well, why film so many movies about it then? Why wear the clothes that accentuate femininity or masculinity? Why wear all those revealing dresses and high heels on the red carpet and all that Hollywood sexualization?

Well, laying our blame retrospectively let's not just wreck living idols, but also the titans of the past. Would they spare Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, or John Kennedy? Or maybe Richard Nixon didn't get enough? When his wife, Thelma, was asked how she tolerates it, she answered sincerely: "You know, Richard just really loves people and it's not his fault that God made half of them as women". You can't say something like that nowadays.

England is half-a-body length ahead of the US. The favorites of the past are being brutally dispatched. Benny Hill was the first to fall, silently as always. He's claimed to have harassed everybody. Benny Hill died in 1992. And now Hazel O'Connor, the British punk star from the 80's, she's 62 now, with indignation recalls that one moment when Benny Hill tried to kiss her and she pushed him away.

Michael Fallon, the British Minister of Defense will resign on Tuesday because 15 years ago he put his hand on a lady's knee during a dinner. The grownup woman decided to tell her story only now. British defense is beheaded. Repentant Michael Fallon admits that culture has changed over the years. Something acceptable 10 or 15 years ago is unacceptable now.

As a result, Theresa May is gathering members of political parties to figure out what to do with sex.

Well, honestly, I personally think this Anglo-American wave has an element of hypocrisy. Even something necrotic in it. Don't get me wrong, I'm strictly against sexual violence. But this campaign with all its beastly earnest threatens to destroy all humor in human relations and that soul-stirring impulsiveness that urge, that passion, and lots of other things even in art and the aesthetics of life.

And the most important thing — the relations of men and women have an endless variety of forms. Just like men, women can be decent and indecent. We'll always be on the side of the victim, if there's a victim that is.

Let's take four different couples. The first one, a decent man and a decent woman. No victims here. The second, a decent woman and an indecent man. Possibly there's a victim. The third, an indecent woman and a decent man. Victims are also possible. The fourth, an indecent woman and an indecent man. Proceed at your own risk, everything is possible. And I'm not even considering semitones. Our life is richer. It has an endless variety of outcomes.

But there's something alarming in it. In both the US and Great Britain the complainant is always right by default. And the ones they point their finger at are dealt with without charge or trial. We already had this in Russia. When libel was enough reason for reprisal. Without a doubt, sexual violence is disgusting. But a torrent of accusations and lynching that we see now in Britain and the US is certainly not always to the point.
