Watch Russian President Plunging Into the Ice-Cold Water During the Epiphany Celebration

First things first. Epiphany dipping began all across Russia yesterday evening. Vladimir Putin has plunged into the ice-cold water of Lake Seliger. Upon completing his work agenda in St. Petersburg, Putin arrived in the Tver Region.

First things first. Epiphany dipping began all across Russia yesterday evening. Vladimir Putin has plunged into the ice-cold water of Lake Seliger. Upon completing his work agenda in St. Petersburg, Putin arrived in the Tver Region.

Currently, Central Russia isn't seeing the hard frosts, traditional for this period. The temperature at lake Seliger was not lower than 6-7 degrees below freezing. It's not the first time that Vladimir Putin has plunged into the ice-cold water.

 

Before the dip, the President attended a festive divine service at the Nilov Monastery.
