The Polish Foreign Ministry will let go of all diplomats who graduated from universities in Russia. The new Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jacek Czaputowicz, intends to weed out diplomats educated in Soviet and Russian universities. He wants to conduct a fundamentally different policy from his predecessor.

One of the main reasons for the former Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski's dismissal is his reluctance to reshuffle the Foreign Ministry personnel, the local media say, and allegedly the fact that he opposed hiring new employees without diplomatic experience and firing experienced personnel.

The new Polish Foreign Minister, Jacek Czaputowicz, appointed on January 9, is ready to recruit less qualified diplomats to replace officials who graduated from universities of the Russian Federation. While being a deputy minister, Jacek Czaputowicz lowered the requirements for the latest qualifications for diplomatic and consular service and dismissed the then-director of the Diplomatic Academy.

In a press statement, the Polish Foreign Ministry confirmed that the passing grade during the competition was lowered, but the Ministry media department said it was because the test had been more difficult than the year before.
