Traditionally, the most important events in Chechnya are timed to Peace Day. One of them is the opening ceremony of a children's clinic in Grozny. The Republic's leader himself greeted the staff of the new medical institution.

Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic: "I'd like to congratulate everyone with Peace Day. 10 years ago we started to build not only healthcare but to revive other sectors, too. Restoration based on the foundations laid by Akhmad Kadyrov."

The guests inspected the conditions where kids will be examined — up to 500 young patients a day! The cutting-edge equipment allows for systemic evaluation and early-stage disease detection. The head of the Russian Federal Fund for Compulsory Medical Insurance inspected the modern clinic too.

Natalya Stadchenko, head of the Federal Fund for Compulsory Medical Insurance: "It's a wonderful clinic with a good medical-preventive structure, diagnostic equipment. We're grateful to the Republic for its contribution to healthcare."

The Chechen Peace Day goes hand in hand with commemorating those who died fighting terrorism. A monument to them has been unveiled in Grozny. Their fellow soldiers pay respect to them on this day annually, laying carnations to the monument and praying.

The end of the counter-terrorist operation enabled Chechnya to enter Russia's common legal framework. The following changes in the region stem from that day. Nowadays, the Chechen Republic is one of the fastest developing regions in the country and a reliable partner of foreign investors.
