At the VDNH, projects are being presented on the development of rural areas. This is an opportunity to meet regional brands. Thanks to state support measures, the development of agriculture will set records in the next few years, the prime minister says.

Dmitry Medvedev, Russian Prime Minister: "A new state program will be launched next year. Under this program, we continue to build housing, roads, lay gas and water pipes, develop rural areas. We'll try to do everything so that life in the country would be as convenient as in a city".

The trend of this Golden Autumn is to show products, which are successfully exported.

Dmitry Medvedev: What do you export?

- Confectionery, sweets.

Kabardino-Balkaria sets records in apple crops. Vologda Oblast doubles the domestic butter supply. Krasnodar Krai is traditionally the leader in corn crops.

Dmitry Patrushev, Russian Minister of Agriculture: "We've already threshed over 115 million tons of grain. I should note that this year's crop isn't only abundant but is of high quality".

The sanctions boosted the growth of the domestic market of fish and seafood. For example, prosperous development holdings in Leningrad Oblast are quickly refocusing on shrimps.

- We bought shrimp in Thailand.

Dmitry Medvedev: You mean you bought the larvae there?

- Yes, we bought the larvae there.

There are 77 foreign countries in the international exhibition. They're interested in cooperation with the Russian agricultural business. The international agro-industrial forum is being held for the first time. They discuss the prospects for the development of the global food market, eco-friendly and organic products.

Digitization of agriculture is another direction.

Dmitry Medvedev: "We should facilitate contacts with the authorities and create a detailed database reflecting the general state of the Agroindustrial complex".

A national food culture where the quality of food and methods of its manufacture are as important as its quantity positively influences the development of the agroindustrial complex.

"We'll become the leader without difficulties, and we'll help".

Of course, the government still has a long way to go before agriculture becomes more hi-tech and competitive. Therefore, the prime minister promised that the state will continue to provide support.
