Eugene Satanovsky, Orientalist: So, recalling the role of Nicholai Vasilievich in the power hierarchy of the United States, whenever we see you here, the United States comes to mind…
Nikolai Zlobin, political expert: I see.
Eugene Satanovsky, Orientalist: And so we bring it up. Cause otherwise oh, please! There is no issue in regards to how the US positions itself: with all of its exceptionalism or the way it treats the whole world as Native Americans, who either need to be starving in a reservation somewhere or be shot and scalped. This is not news. However, there was a time, when the population of our country, the only country that can turn the US into one big Mexican-Canadian Gulf, unquestionably, at the cost of huge and most likely irreversible losses, fell deeply in love with America, especially the Communist Party leaders, headed by Mikhail Gorbachev. The CPSU was beguiled by the US just like an orphan by a seducer and looked up to it with adoration. The actions of the last two presidents — Obama and Trump — did away with this. I don't know, how it's possible to be such idiots, I'm referring to the latest two presidents of your country, to explicitly position the US as a fierce enemy of Russia, unprovoked, for many generations to come, I suspect. But they succeeded. Their internal political considerations are a separate story. In this case, the US didn't miss the chance to miss the chance; that is, they did what the Palestinian government usually does. There was a brief time when the US indeed could have become the world's most powerful leader but this time has ended. It's doubtful whether the US can keep advancing its interests today.
Today, the US promotes itself as the strongest country which doesn't even follow the agreements it has signed just recently. As a matter of fact, the US isolates itself by acting this way. The US can undoubtedly crash Europe through its actions in Iran because Europe doesn't resist at all. Be it Hitler that came to power or if we've come to show them apples from oranges, Europe never resists. at best, it fades out and waits for a chance to smack someone. Actually, to smack anyone. In this case, president Trump fell out gravely with the European allies. The Atlantic Alliance has suffered a tough blow. It doesn't mean that we will try to take advantage of this — first, its impossible and second, it's unreasonable. You will be destroying yourself at home. Secondly, the US demonstrates that it's the world's most powerful police, economy, and military gendarme. It doesn't feel sorry for anyone, including its allies. This is a contest with the leader. In this case, the leader must be drowned by any means. I'm very unsure that over 300 million people would survive this tough competition without rules that the whole world would have to play. Because of your favorite thesis that the US has many allies and we have none.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: What allies?
- That's what I'm talking about. It all becomes clear when you look at those allies. The US and all others have no allies. They are a ship with too much dead weight. And your dead weight can ultimately sink you. Thankfully, we don't have it. We got rid of it during the Soviet times. I wouldn't be so happy, bearing in mind that the US military doesn't want to wage a war against Iran. They don't want to fight it in Syria either. They are avoiding it any way they can. I'm not sure that they…
- You claim that America wants war.
- No, I…
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: America wants others to fight for it so that other soldiers would die.
- It wants peace. They're fighting for peace and they're ready to destroy everything around them.
- But your soldiers don't want war. But your president does.
- Politicians always want to profit!
Vladimir Zhirinovsky: Gulpers!
