This year the state will allocate 60 billion rubles for the support of aircraft construction. The government will propose measures to stimulate the purchase of domestic equipment by airlines. The Ministry of Defence will start purchasing MiG-35 starting next year and is discussing the creation of a new airplane with vertical take-off.

All these news came from Zhukovsky all day, where this year's MAKS Air Show opened, which turned the city this week into the world capital of aviation and cosmonautics. Vladimir Putin came to the ceremony and watched the flight of the newest aircraft and helicopters. Anton Lyadov reporting from Zhukovsky about what MAKS will surprise us with this time.

These shots take the breath away: the newest Russian aircraft, MC-21, soars into the sky above the legendary Baikal. The passenger liner, which was developed for about 10 years, will be taken into the air by the test pilots Oleg Kononenko and Roman Taskaev. -Hello. -Hello. I already asked, they liked, they said they did very much. At the moment, the plane is done flying, now it's in the assembly shop, they are now checking the load under the wing, and with the downloaded data, we'll have the plane flying again.

And in October we'll finish the factory tests, and we'll move the aircraft here to Zhukovsky for testing. The fifth-generation turbofan engines save fuel by 20%, unique aluminum alloys, the widest body that will allow passengers to easily deal with trolleys and stewardess, this is all here in our MC-21. Here it is, the cabin of the already sensational newest Russian aircraft MC-21. This is a simulator.

The main difference is that this cabin is glass. That is, where the instrument panel used to be, now there are monitors installed. If, for example, the aircraft encounters bad weather, the system will automatically display the terrain on the screens. In addition, there is no wheel. This multi-ton aircraft listens to the every move of this small joystick. Helicopters, drones, spacecraft, in total there are nearly 800 companies at the MAKS Air Show.

Not only from all over Russia, but also from 30 countries. We have something to offer. In recent years, the aerospace industry has been provided with substantial government support.

Serious modernization of its facilities occurred, projects to create new competitive civilian equipment are being accomplished, including the Ka-62 helicopter and the MC-21 airliner. And most of the new products are not just on the stands, but already in the air. 5th generation fighters, T-50, fly almost a meter apart: they demonstrate elements of air combat.

It has a special coating, a special form, and because of this, it has significant advantages in air combat. In the air is the newest Russian fighter, MiG-35. It is practically invulnerable to enemy missiles: as soon as a missile is launched in its direction, the pilot immediately receives a signal, and he decides either to move aside or use protective measures.

This airplane is first presented publicly here at MAKS. Despite the European sanctions, representatives of European companies also came to MAKS. We have to recognize that economic sanctions have affected us also, the situation was not very good due to such relations, but we are now seeing improvements.

The developing contracts with Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, at MAKS there are 150 foreign companies, demonstrate that talks about Russia's isolation are greatly exaggerated. However, Russian customers should first of all pay attention to Russian producers, the President stressed. We need to think and guarantee the use of production capacities, generate demand from civilian customers, including our oil and gas companies, and other corporations with government participation. They buy helicopters abroad for their needs, and in a considerable amount. I think that this approach needs to be changed, and to give preference to domestic technology, provided, of course, that it's not inferior, but preferably superior in quality to foreign counterparts.

Here's an example: light helicopter Ansat for 7-9 people, produced in Kazan. There is also a model for babies, the whole setup. The helicopter can fly 24/7, during any conditions, day and night. For remote settlements, where, for example, a fire or flood has occurred, such helicopters can become real life savers. In general, all modern developments, stressed Vladimir Putin, should be beneficial not only to the producers, but also to ordinary citizens. We need to use these modern technologies to unite the country, so that every corner is equally accessible to any person, any citizen, wherever he may live.

And the government will help the prospective Russian projects. We will stimulate our aviation companies, first of all, with economic measures, to ensure that they buy quality Russian aircraft, and did not keep foreign junk outside its life span, and did not expose our passengers to even the smallest of dangers.

According to the forecast, in the coming days the MAKS Air Show will have light rain, but mostly sunny. To prevent the heat from distracting from work, Vladimir Putin offered his government colleagues ice cream: some had cones, others had cups. What profit did you make this year? -Profit, about 80. -80 what? Well, the profit, the profit is 80 billion, you can buy the ice cream? The aerospace salon will continue for another 5 days.
