Zhirinovsky: Breaking Relations With Russia Will Be Suicidal for Ukraine

Vladimir Zhirinovsky: "In this case, Kiev plays into Moscow’s hands, because Ukraine further deteriorating its relations with Russia and possible military actions are factored into the scenario of changing the regime in Kiev".

Let's go to the State Duma. Vladimir Zhirinovsky is still working there, despite the late hour. He’s still at work. Vladimir Volfovich, tell us, please, how do you think Russia should respond to the attempted severance of relations? And if that actually happens, what should we do, in your opinion?

Vladimir Zhirinovsky: “In this case, Kiev plays into Moscow’s hands, because Ukraine further deteriorating its relations with Russia and possible military actions are factored into the scenario of changing the regime in Kiev. That is, once they bring the matter to a sort of hot spot, certain forces in Donbass and Lugansk will be able to launch an offensive and break this regime’s neck. This regime will be over. They don’t understand that they are trapped. Whatever law they're going to adopt on the reintegration and severance of diplomatic relations — it's only advantageous for us, for Russia. I'm warning those in Kiev. You’re digging your own grave. But I’m personally pleased. Because the regime that is killing Russians in Ukraine will be over. People always go with the flow.

They don’t know, like the member of the State Duma didn't know in February 1917 how their protest would end. They also demanded that the tsar abdicates. And how did that end? They were all shot. Ukraine is on the verge of splitting up. Either Ukraine will free itself from the Kiev Nazi regime, or it will be split up. The left bank will go to Russia, the right bank will remain under NATO’s influence”.

- A personal opinion of Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky: Yes.

- Vladimir Volfovich, in Ukraine many viewers are getting worried. They are thinking you’re going to attack Kiev. Forgive us, please, for being tedious. Today is November 8, which is almost your personal anniversary. A year ago, you drank champagne to Donald Trump. I don’t know if you have champagne with you now or if you’re ready to raise a glass to him again, but a year has passed now. Donald Trump promised many things to us and to Americans but didn’t do anything. How should we see this?

Vladimir Zhirinovsky: “Positively. Because, firstly, a year ago we correctly predicted Trump's victory and Hilary coming in second. Secondly, Trump wants to do everything he promised, but people are getting in his way. If they weren't, he wouldn’t have to fulfill all his promises. And now, he tells our president in private that he cannot do anything. The Congress is against him, so is the Senate, courts, both parties, and security forces. And Trump has only one way out. Again, the congressmen and senators of the United States are to be blamed. They think they interfere with Trump's actions, but in fact, they’re nudging him towards a war. And this war — which is against another country, not against us — will only be beneficial for us. We’ll turn a blind eye to whatever Trump's doing in the Far East, and he’ll turn a blind eye to our actions in Ukraine and Kiev. That's how these two conflicts on planet Earth will end. And it's the fault of Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada members and American congressmen. So Trump is ready to improve relations, but people are getting in his way. And he’ll be forced to pressure and intimidate the entire American elite and congressmen to show that he’s a strong president. We won’t interfere with his actions and he won’t interfere with us. Therefore, all the positive things that can happen might already happen today, this year. And we’ll go into the new year of 2018 with greater pleasure and happiness. Happy New Year, dear comrades!”
